It’s Not Water: Cranberry Herb Mule
What could be better than cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving day? A whole bunch of cranberry cocktails! This cranberry herb mule is easy to make and definitely easy to drink. The freshness of the cranberry and orange paired with the herb flavor will complement your turkey perfectly. Plus, it’s topped off with ginger beer, which is the only thing that really qualifies this drink as a mule. This recipe is for two drinks, but you might want to batch make this in a large pitcher.
Ingredients:
3 oz vodka
Juice of half an orange
2 sprigs of herbs
Handful of fresh cranberries
8 oz cranberry juice
Splash of ginger beer
Instructions:
In the glasses you are serving in, place a few fresh cranberries and your sprigs of herbs. I used rosemary and thyme. Muddle with the handle of a wooden spoon, then place two large ice cubes on top.
In a separate shaker or mixing glass, add ice, vodka, juice of half an orange, and cranberry juice. Stir or shake to make it cold.
Strain and pour into serving glasses.
Top with ginger beer to fill the rest of the glasses. Garnish with fresh cranberries floating on top.
